Patrick Morgan '07
In recognition of Patrick Morgan’s (2007 Old Andrean) brave rescue of an elderly lady who had fallen between the gap of the train and the platform at Central Station in December 2006, Patrick will be awarded with an Australian Bravery Medal.
Whilst his friend ran to the train driver’s compartment to ensure the train did not depart, Patrick jumped beneath the train to provide first aid and comfort until help had arrived,
His brave act was also awarded with the Regional Commander’s Certificate of Appreciation from the Deputy Police Commissioner, David Owens, and Assistant Commissioner Catherine Burn
The School is extremely proud of Patrick and of his heroic act; he remains an inspirational role model to the students of the School.
